Lillian'S Creamy Fudge
- 1/3 cup butter
- 4 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
- 1/4 to 1/2 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/4 cup light karo syrup
- 1 small jar (approx 1cup) marshmallow Creme
- 2 bags semi sweet chocolate chips (12-13 oz)
- 1 bag Hershey's milk chocolate chips
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 2 cups walnuts (optional)
- Her recipe was not exact, so feel free to put a bit more marshmallow Creme if you like.
- Boil butter, sugar, milk, cream of tartar, and karo syrup for 5 minutes on medium heat, covered.
- Take off the stove, beat in chocolate, and then marshmallow Creme.
- After it is all melted and well mixed, put in the vanilla and walnuts.
- Beat until it loses its shine, and then put it in a large pan. For easier handling, line the pan with aluminum foil.
- Refrigerate and cut when cold.
