Trade Winds Salad(Serving Size: 6 To 8)
- 1 (7 oz.) pkg. elbow macaroni
- 1 Tbsp. margarine or butter
- 2 tsp. packed brown sugar
- 1 (12 oz.) can luncheon meat
- 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can pineapple chunks
- 1 c. (4 oz.) cubed American cheese
- 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream or pineapple yogurt
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. packed brown sugar
- Prepare macaroni.
- Drain pineapple chunks.
- Reserve 2 tablespoons.
- In medium skillet, melt margarine and 2 teaspoons brown sugar.
- Add luncheon meat and cook until browned, and coated with sugar mixture.
- Remove and drain on paper towel.
- In medium bowl, combine macaroni, luncheon meat mixture, pineapple chunks, cheese and green pepper.
