Baked Stuffed Shrimp
- 1 1/2 pounds fresh or frozen large shrimp
- 1 1/2 pounds crab meat
- 3 slices fresh bread, crust removed, cubed
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon pepper sauce
- 1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon prepared mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/2 green pepper, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup melted butter or margarine
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Shell uncooked shrimp,, leaving tails on. Split shrimp down the back and spread apart butter fly fashion. Combine crab meat, bread c ubes, mayo, pepper sauce, worcestershire, mustard and salt. Saute onion and pepper in 2 tablespoons melted butter until soft and crab meat mixture. Stuff shrimp with crab mixture.
- Place shrimp tail side up on greased shallow baking dish. Brush with remaining butter and bake about 15 to 20 minutes or until browned.
