Bbq Crab
- 1 crab per person
- cleaned and separated
- body in two pieces
- 2 cups per crab of tomatoe juice
- 1/3 cup per crab BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup per crab a good red
- wine, I like a red zin.
- salt & pepper to taste
- hot custy french bread with
- butter.
- (Ex. 4 people = 4 crabs, 8 cups tomato juice, 1 1/3 cup BBQ sauce, 2 cups red wine)
- Put all the ingredients except the bread & butter in a big pot and boil away. Make sure you stir to often to prevent any sticking and having a lid part of the time is a good idea. You just want to boil on medium to infuse all the flavors. This is normally around an hour and a half for about 3-4 crabs. Serve this in large soup bowl with shell crackers and large spoons. Eat french bread dipped in the broth and it is to die for. It's a good idea to serve this from the stove to make sure each person's got two body parts 2 claws and a handful of legs (6) and don't forget the broth!
