Chocolate Turtle Cake
- 1 pkg. german cho. cake mix ( low carb. recipe directions)
- 30 krafts caramels
- 1 can eagle brand
- heat oven 350' or use pkg.temp. for glass pan
- place unwrapped caramenls in small mixing bowl with eagle brand, melt in double-boiler or in microwave ( approx. 3 min ) stop to stir and repeat until caramels are melted.
- mix cake according to pkg. direction.
- grease and flour ( very important!) 13x9 cake pan.
- pour 1/2 the batter in and bake 15 min.
- remove cake from oven and pour the caramel /milk mixture over cake.
- pour the rest cake batter on top of caramel and bake 18 to 20 more min. ( or until cake is slighly pulling away from the edgeof pan.
- tooth-pic test does not apply to this recipe.
- the top,or middle, of the cake should be firm.
- cool cake to luke warm and frost with fudge recipe.
