Sour Cream Apple Pie
- 10 inch unbaked butter pie crust
- 6 medium Granny Smith apples
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 each eggs
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons vinegar or lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- Strudel Topping
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/4 cup butter
- Line pie plate with unbaked crust; flute edges.
- Peel and slice apples; chop coarsely.
- Mix sour cream, eggs, flour, sugar, salt, vinegar/lemon juice, & cinnamon together.
- Pile half the apples in the prepared pie crust. Pour half the sour cream mixture over the apples. Repeat.
- Bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes.
- Meanwhile, cut brown sugar and flour into butter for strudel topping until crumbly. Place atop partially baked pie; return to oven and bake an additional 20 minutes.
