Georgia Shield'S Rum Cake
- For cake:
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 1 box Duncan Hines Butter Cake mix
- 1 small package Jello Instant Pudding
- 1/2 cup light rum
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 4 eggs
- For glaze:
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1/4 cup rum
- 1/4 cup water
- For cake: Grease and flour a bundt pan. Crumble nuts in bottom. Add pudding mix, rum, water, eggs and oil to the cake mix. Whisk for 2 minutes and pour into cake pan. Bake at 325 for 50-60 minutes. Let cool for no longer than 15 minutes before removing from pan. To glaze: Mix and boil the above ingredients 2-3 minutes. Spoon slowly on inverted cake. Place on cake stand and start celebrating!
