Slow Cooker Macaroni And Cheese
- Nonstick cooking spray
- 1 16 ounce package dried pasta
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 2 large eggsm beaten
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion (1 small)
- 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- 1.5 cups evaporated milk
- 1.5 cups half and half
- 8 ounces Gouda cheese, shredded* (2 cups)
- 4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, shredded* (1 cup)
- 4 ounces Swiss cheese, shredded* (1 cup)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon unsalted butter
- 2/3 cup panko (Japanese-style bread crumbs)
- Instructions:
- 1)tdd breadcrumbs and a tablespoon of butter to a pan and toast until golden brown.
- 2)tpray slow cooker and combine all ingredients except 1/4 cup of the shredded cheese and the toasted bread crumbs.
- 3)tfter everything is combined top with remaining cheese and breadcrumbs.
- 4)took on low for 2.5 - 3.25 hours. Cook for less time for a creamier dish or more time for a firm dish.
