Thai Beef With Broccoli

  1. Partially freeze round steak.
  2. With a sharp knife, slice meat very thin and into bite-size pieces.
  3. In blender container, combine water, garlic, 2 tablespoons cooking oil, lemon juice, soy sauce, red pepper, fish sauce and cornstarch.
  4. Cover and blend until smooth.
  5. Set aside.
  6. Heat a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add 2 tablespoons cooking oil.
  7. Stir-fry broccoli, 3 to 4 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  8. Remove broccoli from wok.
  9. Add more oil, if necessary; add half of the beef strips.
  10. Stir-fry for 3 minutes; remove and finish cooking rest of beef, then return all the beef and broccoli to wok.
  11. Stir in cornstarch mixture.
  12. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly.
  13. Cover and cook 1 minute more.
  14. Serve over rice or Chinese noodles.
  15. Serves 4.
