Orange Easter Braids

  1. Combine 2 cups flour and yeast in large bowl.
  2. Combine milk, butter sugar and salt in saucepan; heat on low until very warm (120-130*F).
  3. Add milk to flour mixture. Add eggs; beat 1/2 minute on low, scrapping bowl constantly. Beat 3 minutes on high.
  4. Add 1 cup flour, beat 1 minute longer. Add OJ and peel. Stir in enough flour to make a soft dough.
  5. Knead on floured surface 5 to 10 minutes. Place in greased bowl; turning to grease all sides. Cover. Let rise in warm place 1 to 1-1/2 hours.
  6. Punch down; divide dough in half. Shape each half into 3 equal portions and roll into 14-inch long rolls.
  7. Braid. Place on baking sheet; cover; let rise until doubled.
  8. Bake at 350 degrees or 20-25 minutes or until golden. Cool. Drizzle with Vanilla Icing.
  9. Vanilla Icing
  10. Combine confectioner's sugar and milk.
