Awesome Upside Down Pizza
- 2 tsptlive Oil
- 1 lbstweet or Hot Italian Sausage
- 1tnion (medium sweet or yellow)
- 1 treen Bell Pepper (I like to use 1/2 Green and 1/2 Red Bell Pepper)
- 1t ounce Can Sliced Black Olives. (Drained)
- 1 cuptushrooms (optional)
- 1 cuptizza Sauce
- 1 cup tasta Sauce (your choice) I like Rosemary/Garlic Pasta Sauce
- 1 tbs.tregano
- 1 tsp.talt & Pepper
- 1/4 tsp.tony Chachere's Creole Seasoning
- Pinch of Sugar
- Toppings
- 1t6 0unce Bag Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 2tggs
- 1 tbs.tlive Oil
- 1 cuptll Purpose Flour
- 1 cup tilk
- 1/2 tsp.talt
- 1/4 cup trated Parmesan Cheese
- Pre Heat Oven to 400 Degrees F.
- Heat 2 tsp. Olive Oil in a large skillet. Take the skin off the 1 pound of Sausage, trash the skin, place Sausage in the skittle Brown and break apart into small bite size pieces. Cut the Onion in Half then half again and slice into 1/4 inch slices. Do the same with the unseeded Peppers (and Optional Mushrooms). Add Onion and Peppers (and Optional Mushrooms) to the Browned Sausage and cook on Medium heat for about 10 minutes. Now add Pizza Sauce, Pasta Sauce, Sugar, drained Sliced Olives, Oregano, Tony C's Creole Seasoning, salt and pepper into the skillet. Simmer over low heat for about ten minutes. Pour into 2x9x13 Glass Casserole Dish. Pour 16 ounce bag of Mozzarella over the top and distribute evenly.
- In a medium bowl whisk together Eggs, Milk and Oil until blended. Whisk in flour and salt until well blended. Pour mixture over Casserole Dish Sprinkle with Grated Parmesan Cheese.
- Bake 30 minutes or until flour topping is Golden Brown. Let Stand for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
