Spiked Apple Cider Sparkle

  1. Prepare Ginger Syrup first:
  2. add water and sugar to sturdy/heavy stove pot and heat under warm heat till melted.
  3. Cut up ginger into inch long strips and add to sugar water on stove. Simmer for at least 1 hr, stir occasionally and watch to prevent burning.
  4. Let cool before transferring to glass for storage - can be kept in fridge for 2 months
  5. Cocktail:
  6. Add cooled syrup, sparkling cider and cinnamon sticks to large pitcher.
  7. Pour in your preferred sparkling wine/champagne and mix.
  8. Add cinnamon sticks to everyone's glass before serving
