Thai Burgers With Peanut Butter Mayo
- 8 oz ground pork, can use pork sausage
- 8 oz ground beef
- 1/2 t chopped garlic
- 2 TB minced onion
- 1 TB minced cilantro
- 1 egg white beaten
- crumbs from one slice white bread
- salt and pepper to season ground meat
- 1/4 t red pepper flakes
- few drops seseme oil
- 1 TB brown sugar
- 4 whole wheat buns toasted
- 1/2 cup good quality mayo
- 3 TB chunky good quality peanut butter
- 1/2 t lime juice
- lime zest
- 1/4 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup shredded lettuce
- 4 thick slices tomato
- Combine ground meats with bread crumbs, gently fold in beaten egg. Add onion, garlic, seseme oil, salt and pepper, red pepper flakes, cilantro and brown sugar. Divide meat into four even portions. Grill or BBQ, approx 6 minutes each side.
- While burgers are grilling, mix mayo with peanut butter, lime juice and lime zest.
- Spread mayo on both sides of whole wheat buns, divide carrots between the four buns, same with lettuce, add a tomato slice to each bun and top tomato with your grilled burger
