Grandmother'S Japanese Fruitcake

  1. Cream 1/2 cup margarine with brown sugar. Add 2 eggs and buttermilk and beat.
  2. Sift together flour, cinnamon, cloves, and add to the sugar mixture.
  3. Add the fruit (jam, preserves)
  4. Cook 25 to 30 minutes in prepared cake pans.
  5. Icing: top cake with pecan halves. Mix the pet milk, stick of margaine, 1 1/2 cups sugar, vanilla and cocnut - spread over cake
