  4. the apple rings in the batter and fry until golden and crispy, turning to cook evenly,
  5. about 2 to 3 minutes. Remove the fritters from the oil and drain on paper towels. Toss
  6. them in the cinnamon sugar. Serve next to a ramekin of maple creme fraiche for
  7. dipping.
