Shrimp Creole
- 3 lbs peeled shrimp
- 8 tbsp butter
- 8 tbsp flour
- 1 14-16 oz can tomato sauce
- 1 c parsely, chopped
- 1 tbsp thyme
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 3 bay leaves
- 3 c chicken stock
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 c chopped green onion
- 4 thin lemon slices
- Joe's stuff seasoning or any creaol seasoning blend
- Cooked rice
- Trinity = 2 c chopped onion, 1 c chopped celery, 1 c chopped green pepper
- 1. Saute shrimp in butter for 2 -3 mins then remove. Add flour and stir over MH heat unitl lighlty browned.
- 2. Add trinity and garlic and saute until onions are transparent. Add remaining ingredients except green onions, parsely and shrimp. Simmer 15 mins.
- 3. Add in remaining ingredients during last 5 mins. Serve over rice.
