Easy Shepard'S Pie
- 1 lb. bround beef ( i use the laura's lean)
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 pkg brown gravy mix
- 1/4 cup worchestershire sauce (wooshy sauce)
- 1 tsp black pepper
- salt to taste
- 1/2 can peas (or 1/2 cup frozen peas and carrots)
- 1/2 cup frozen corn
- 8 servings mashed potatoes (i use the boxed kind, but i make them with chicken stock instead of water.)
- 2-3 cups shredded sharp cheddar
- brown the ground beef. add wooshy sauce, water, brown gravy mix, salt, pepper, peas, carrots, and corn. simmer until veggies are tender and most (but not all) of the liquid is evaporated.
- make mashed potatoes.
- put beef mixture in the bottom of a casserole. place a thin layer of cheese over mixture. spread mashed potatoes over the top in an even layer. cover with remainder of cheese and sprinkling of paprika (optional.)
- place in oven at 350 for 20 minutes or until bottom layer begins to bubble and cheese gets toasty. EAT!!!
