Apple Kuchen
- CRUST:
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine softened
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup flour
- 1/4 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- FILLING:
- 1/2 cup plain or vanilla yogurt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 1/2 cups sliced, peeled cooking apples
- 3 TBL sugar
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- CRUST:
- Grease spring form pan or 8" round cake pan. Combine butter and sugar. Ad egg, yogurt and vanilla. Stir in flour, baking powder and salt. Spread dough over bottom of pan.
- FILLING:
- Combine yogurt and egg. Spread over dough. Arrange sliced apples over filling and sprinkle with mixture of sugar and cinnamon.
- Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 minutes or until knife inserted in center is clean.
