Perfect Pasta
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 scallion diced or 1/2 small onion diced
- 1 tsp garlic paste or one tsp minced garlic
- 1 121/4 can diced tomatoes
- 1/2 tsp basil
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- if using dried herbs be sure to crush them before adding to dish
- 1 pound cooked pasta whatever type you prefer- we like linguini
- 1/2 c. shredded parmesan optional
- salt and pepper to taste
- One medium heat warm a large saucepan, when pan is heated place butter and olive oil in pan. Add diced scallion or onion,garlic paste or diced garlic, diced tomatoes and herbs. stir and adjust heat to medium/low. Simmer dish for 15-20 minutes, stirring on occasion. Add cooked pasta and stir well to combine. Allow to simmer on same heat setting for 5-10 minutes. Just before serving sprinkle with parmesan and salt and pepper.
