Mom'S Ginger Golden Milk
- 1/2 cup Clean water
- 1/4 cup Tumeric
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 cup Coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon Coconut oil
- 1/2 teaspoon Tumeric paste
- 1 tablespoon Fresh ginger, chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- Put the pan with water in it on a medium heat setting. Add turmeric and black pepper and stir well to create a smooth paste. Cook gently for 7 to 9 minutes to get the paste properly cooked. If the yellow paste becomes too dry, you can add some more water. Allow the golden paste to cool and store in a glass container with an airtight lid.
- For each cup of golden milk, combine 1/2 t of this paste with the rest of the ingredients. Heat and serve. For a real bedtime tonic, add 1 shot brandy!
