Shenandoah Valley Apple Cake
- 1 cup cooking oil 2 cups white sugar
- 3 eggs 1&1/4 Tea. vanilla
- 1 Tea. baking soda
- 1 Tea. salt
- 1 Tea of cinnamon
- 3 cups of Granny Smith's Apples, pealed and diced
- 1 cup of walnts or peacans-chopped
- 1Tab. Flour
- Carmel Topping
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup reg. milk
- Beat together oil,sugar,eggs and vanilla(3 min).Add flour salt and soda beat for 1 minute longer. Stin in Apples,nuts, cinnamon and the Tab. of flour. Pour into a greased and floured 13x9x2 pan.Bake @ 350 for 1 hour, cool on rack in pan until completely cool. Combine butter, sugar and milk in a saucepan, bring to a boil stirring constantly, boil for 5-8 minutes. Remove from heat pour all over the top of cooled cake, let sit until carmel is settled maybe 20-25 minutes. Store left over in frig. Yummy
