Cranberry Salad

  1. Wash the cranberries, discarding soft or spoiled berries. Drain.
  2. Put cranberries in large saucepan with 1/2 c. water. Cook and stir over medium heat until cranberries begin to burst. Add Jello and stir until dissolved. Add marshmallows and stir until melted. Remove from heat and cool, but not so long as to allow mixture to gel. When mixture is cool, add chopped nuts, celery and apple. Stir to mix thoroughly. Pour into glass serving bowl. Decorate top with nut halves and/or mint leaves. Cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours.
