Meatloaf
- Mixing bowls (one small, one large)
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 2 cups bread crumbs
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In small mixing bowl combine breadcrumbs and milk.
- In large mixing bowl, combine meat, onion, garlic, egg, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Add bread-milk mixture to large bowl and mix gently with fork or hands.
- Place mixture into buttered loaf pan.
- Brush ketchup over top of meatloaf, or wait to brush it on during baking.
- Bake 45-55 minutes.
- When done the meatloaf will start to pull slightly from pan, or use meat thermometer to measure temperature. It is done when a temperature of 160 degrees is reached.
- Let sit for 5 minutes.
