Soft Molasses Cookies

  1. In a large bowl, cream together butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Beat in molasses and eggs; set aside.
  3. In another large bowl, combine flour, salt, baking soda, ginger, cloves and cinnamon.
  4. Mix flour into creamed ingredients until dough is smooth.
  5. Roll into 1 1/2-inch balls.
  6. Dip tops in sugar. Place 2 1/2 inches apart on greased cookie sheet at 350u0b0.
