Indonesian Fried Rice (Nasi Goreng)

  1. Oil pan and saute shallot and garlic until browned (about 4-5 mins)
  2. In separate pan cook egg into omelet
  3. Add chicken and all dry spices and cook on HIGH heat turning often
  4. Add fish sauce, sesame oil, and soy sauce and keep stirring often on high heat
  5. Once chicken is cooked and rice and continue to cook for 10-15 mins
  6. Add shredded omelet egg and cook for 5 mins
  7. In separate pan, cook egg sunny side up
  8. Dish rice onto plate and top with egg (slice open yolk)
