Chicken Salan/Korma
- 1 1/2 cup oil
- 3 white onions (medium or small)
- Chicken (size depends on serving)
- 2-3 pieces of cinnamon
- 1 Handful of whole black pepper
- 8-10 cloves (long)
- 2-Black Cardamom
- A pinch of Green Cardamom
- 2 1/2 tsp-Ground red pepper
- 1 tsp- Coriander powder
- 2 tsp- Salt
- 1/2-1 cup water (depending on preference)
- 5 Tb. yogurt
- 1. Add oil and Caramelize onion until brown.
- 2. Strain out onions and put on plate with paper towel.
- 3. Add chicken and add all dry spices chronologically.
- 4. Let it boil and cook
- 5. Add water to allow the chicken to cook.
- 6. Take onions and blend onions with yogurt to a paste.
- 7. Insert paste into pot and add a bit more water
- 8. Cook for about 5 minutes
- 9. Done!
