Wayne Thayers Chile Recipe

  1. In a skillet brown the ground beef and add Chipoltle chili powder to taste, regular chili powder, and onions.
  2. Salt to taste.
  3. When ground beef is browned, remove from heat.
  4. When beans are cooked drain off some of the water and add tomatoe juice to the pot and heat to boil, careful not to scorch the tomatoe juice.
  5. Add ground beef and turn down to simmer. Add chipoltle chili powder and regular chili powder as necessary to pot to taste.

  20. I add the chipoltle chili powder to your taste it could get very spicy.
  21. I usually add about 1/2 spice bottle to the ground beef and pot of beans as well, tasting as I go.
