Major Meal Lasagna
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 lb. cottage cheese
- 1 box lasagna noodles
- 1 egg
- 1 large jar spaghetti sauce
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese, grated
- 3 to 4 oz. Parmesan cheese
- Preheat oven to 375u0b0.
- Brown ground beef and drain grease. Cook lasagna noodles; drain.
- Add spaghetti sauce to meat and let simmer over low heat.
- Grate Mozzarella cheese; set aside.
- Add 1 beaten egg to cottage cheese; set aside.
- In casserole dish, lightly grease sides and bottom of dish.
- Place ground meat mixture on bottom of pan, then noodles, cottage cheese, then Mozzarella cheese.
- Then repeat.
- If any meat mixture is left, put on top of casserole.
- Sprinkle top with Parmesan cheese; cover well.
- Bake for 15 to 20 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbling on top. Turn broiler on; place dish under broiler until lightly browned on top.
- Watch closely as not to burn.
- Serves 6 to 8.
