Simple But Sensational Grilled Pork Chops
- Six grill-cut (thin cut) pork loin chops (they should not be thicker than 1/2 inch)
- Montreal Steak Seasoning
- 1/2 stick butter
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- Sides: Baked beans and fried potatoes
- First, if you use a charcoal grill (I use a kettle grill), get enough coals going to provide a wide enough spread to evenly cook six chops. If you're using gas, set your flame to medium high.
- It's always a good idea to rinse your chops and pat them dry with paper towels. Lay them out on a plate, tray or cutting board and sprinkle them with the steak seasoning, not too much, but not too little. Turn them over and do the same.
- Melt the butter in the microwave or a sauce pan and add the soy sauce. When the coals are ready, baste the chops with the butter-soy sauce mix, put them on the grill, basted side down and immediately baste the up-side. Let them grill for about 3 minutes, turn them over and baste them again. Repeat the process a couple more times, or until you are satisfied that they're fully cooked.
