Italian Shell Bake

  1. Brown ground beef in large skillet.
  2. Add onion and saute until tender.
  3. Pour off excess fat.
  4. Stir in tomato sauce, garlic salt, oregano and pepper; simmer.
  5. While this simmers, cook medium shells according to package; drain well.
  6. Combine Ricotta, 1 1/2 cups Mozzarella and chopped parsley; mix well.
  7. Combine shells with meat sauce.
  8. Place 1/2 of the mixture into a buttered pan. Spread cheese filling evenly over shells.
  9. Do again with shells and meat mixture; spread cheese mixture.
  10. Sprinkle Mozzarella. Cover and bake at 350u0b0 for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove cover and bake 5 minutes longer.
