Cherry Chewbilees

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with butter-flavored Crisco and set aside.
  3. Chop 1/2 cup nuts coarsely for topping and set aside.
  4. Chop remaining 1/2 cup finely.
  5. For crust, combine flour and brown sugar.
  6. Cut in Crisco until fine crumbs form.
  7. Add 1/2 cup finely chopped nuts and coconut.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Remove 1/2 cup and set aside.
  10. Press remaining crumbs into bottom of pan.
  11. Bake for 12 to 15 minutes until edges are lightly browned.
