Roast Turkey With Sage Stuffing
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 None onion, finely chopped
- 4 cups fresh breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh sage
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh thyme leaves
- 2 None eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 None whole turkey (about 8 lbs)
- 1 tbsp oil
- None None Sausage, cranberry sauce, gravy, to serve
- Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Lightly grease a roasting pan.
- Melt butter in a large skillet on medium heat. Saute onion for 2-3 mins until tender. Remove from heat.
- Stir breadcrumbs, herbs and eggs into onion mixture. Season to taste.
- Fill cavity of turkey with stuffing. Secure with skewers. Tie turkey legs and wings with kitchen string to secure. Place on a rack in the prepared pan. Rub turkey with oil and season to taste.
- Bake uncovered for about 2 hours or until juices run clear when pierced. Remove from oven. Let stand, loosely covered with foil, for 10-15 mins before carving.
- Serve with sausages, cranberry sauce and gravy.
