Cherry, Pear And Chocolate Strudels
- 2 None pears, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 pinch ground cinnamon
- 8 sheets filo dough
- 1/2 lb cherries, pitted
- 2 tbsp chocolate-hazelnut spread
- 2 tbsp sliced almonds
- None None powdered sugar, to dust
- 4 scoops low-fat vanilla ice cream, to serve
- Preheat oven to 400u0b0F. Line 2 baking trays with parchment paper. Toss pears with brown sugar and cinnamon.
- For each strudel, place 2 sheets of pastry on a flat surface. Lightly coat with oil. Arrange 1/4 of pear mixture in center of pastry. Top with 1/4 of the cherries and 2 tsp chocolate-hazelnut spread. Roll up to enclose filling and form a parcel. Repeat with remaining pastry and fillings.
- Transfer to prepared trays. Lightly coat with oil. Sprinkle with almonds and bake for 12-15 mins, or until golden brown. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve with ice cream.
