King Ranch Chicken Casserole
- 2 large fryers, boiled
- 1 can cream of chicken soup
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 pkg. tortillas, cut in triangles
- 1 green pepper, chopped fine
- 1 large onion, chopped fine
- 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 1/2 c. chicken broth
- chili powder
- garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- Mix chicken broth and both soups.
- Divide all ingredients in half.
- In greased casserole dish, put in chicken, sprinkle lightly with chili powder, garlic powder, salt and pepper.
- Follow with soup-broth mix.
- Then onion and green pepper on top. Make layer of tortillas and sprinkle with cheese. Repeat second layer as first. Top with crushed tortilla chips.
- Bake, covered, 1 hour at 350u0b0. Serves 8 to 12.
