Casserole Hamburger Oyster
- 2 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 pt. oysters (save the liquid)
- 1 c. dry bread crumbs
- 4 sprigs parsley, chopped fine
- 1 small onion, chopped very fine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. ground pepper
- Fry the hamburger loosely until it is all browned, turning with a spatula during frying so that it is not broken up too much.
- Then add the drained oysters and continue frying until the outer edges curl, about 5 minutes.
- Set aside and mix the liquid from the oysters with the bread crumbs, parsley and onion.
- Season with the salt and pepper.
- Add to the browned meat and oysters, tossing lightly to mix.
- Put into a well-greased casserole and bake at 350u0b0 for 45 minutes.
- Before removing from oven, slip under the broiler for a few seconds so the top can brown.
