Bread Pudding With Bananas And Raisins
- 2 1/2 cups low fat milk
- 1 tbsp vanilla extract
- 4 slices whole wheat bread
- 3 None bananas, sliced
- 1/3 cup raisins
- 3 None eggs
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp cinnamon sugar
- Preheat the oven to 325u0b0F. Lightly grease a deep 6-cup baking dish.
- Place milk and vanilla in a medium saucepan on medium heat. Bring to a boil. Set aside.
- Meanwhile, cut bread into quarters. Arrange bread, bananas and 1/2 the raisins in alternate layers in prepared dish.
- Whisk eggs, sugar and 1/2 the cinnamon sugar in a large bowl. Gradually whisk in hot milk mixture. Pour carefully over bread and bananas. Sprinkle with remaining raisins and cinnamon sugar.
- Place baking dish in a roasting pan. Fill roasting pan with enough boiling water to come halfway up sides of the dish.
- Bake for 55-60 mins until set.
