Icebox Rolls

  1. In small bowl, combine shortening, sugar and salt.
  2. With wooden spoon, beat until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add boiling water; stir until smooth.
  4. Set aside to cool until lukewarm.
  5. In large bowl, sprinkle yeast over 1/2 cup warm water (take temperature of water with thermometer); stir until dissolved.
  6. Add shortening mixture to yeast along with eggs and mix well.
  7. Add flour alternately with 1 cup water.
  8. Beat until smooth.
  9. Grease top of dough; cover bowl tightly with foil.
  10. Refrigerate overnight.
