Ham Steaks With Apples And Cream

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet on medium heat. Cook the ham for 8-10 mins, turning once, until lightly browned. Remove from pan. Cover; keep warm.
  2. Melt the butter in the same pan. Add the honey, onion and apple wedges. Cook for 5 mins, stirring occasionally, until the apples are lightly browned. Add the stock or apple juice; bring to a boil. Add the cream; simmer for 2 mins until the sauce has thickened slightly. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Spoon the sauce over the ham steaks. Serve with mixed baby vegetables.
