Elegant Chicken Casserole

  1. Cook chicken with salt, pepper and vermouth; allow to cool in that liquid.
  2. Remove chicken from bone; skin and cut into 3/4-inch cubes.
  3. Thoroughly combine chicken with the remaining ingredients except corn flakes.
  4. Allow to stand at least 1 hour; add additional seasoning, if desired.
  5. Spoon into a greased baking dish, about 8 x 12-inch.
  6. (It can be refrigerated at this point.) Top with crushed corn flakes and bake at 350u0b0 for 30 minutes or until thoroughly heated and very lightly browned.
  7. Makes approximately 12 to 15 servings.
