Chocolate Carmelita Bars

  1. Heat oven to 350u0b0.
  2. Grease 13 x 9-inch pan.
  3. Combine first six ingredients.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Reserve 1 cup; press remaining onto bottom of prepared pan.
  6. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until light brown; cool 10 minutes.
  7. Top with nuts and chocolate.
  8. Mix caramel and 1/4 cup flour until smooth; drizzle over chocolate to within 1/4 inch of pan edges.
  9. Sprinkle with reserved mixture.
  10. Bake an additional 18 to 22 minutes until golden.
  11. Cool completely.
  12. Yields 32 bars.
