Oatmeal Raisin Biscuits

  1. Preheat oven at 425u0b0.
  2. Combine flour, oats, sugar, baking powder, salt and soda in large bowl.
  3. Stir in raisins.
  4. Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Stir in buttermilk just until dough holds together.
  6. Knead dough on lightly floured surface about 10 times.
  7. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness.
  8. Cut with 2-inch diameter round cutter.
  9. Place biscuits 1-inch apart on buttered cookie sheet.
  10. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
  11. Cool slightly.
  12. Remove from cookie sheet.
  13. Serve with butter.
