Mom'S Famous Lasagna
- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. crumbled oregano
- 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 1 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese
- 1 c. sour cream
- 4 or 5 chopped green onions (including green part)
- 2 c. Cheddar cheese
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. wide egg noodles, cooked
- Brown meat.
- Add salt, sugar, oregano, garlic salt, pepper and tomato sauce.
- Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
- Cook and drain wide egg noodles.
- Combine cooked noodles, cream cheese, sour cream and green onions.
- In a 3-quart casserole, alternate layers of noodle mixture, meat mixture and grated cheese.
- Bake at 350u0b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
- This can be made ahead and frozen, then cooked the day you want to serve it.
- Serves 6 to 8.
