Bavarian Beef

  1. Tenderize steak or pound until thin.
  2. Cut into 2 x 1-inch strips.
  3. Blend cornstarch, salt, black pepper and garlic powder. Brown meat in oil; add onion.
  4. Cook 2 to 3 minutes longer.
  5. Stir in beer, broth, pepper sauce and brown sugar.
  6. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, cover and simmer 15 minutes.
  7. Add carrots and cook 15 minutes longer or until meat is tender.
  8. Spoon over rice. Makes 4 servings.
