Crunchy Chocolate Squares

  1. Preheat the oven to 350u0b0F. Grease and line a 12 x 8-inch baking pan with parchment paper, extending paper above long sides for handles.
  2. Stir chocolate and butter in a small saucepan on low heat until smooth. Transfer mixture to a large bowl; cool for 10 mins.
  3. Stir in brown sugar, egg, sifted flour and cereal. Spread mixture into prepared pan; smooth surface. Bake about 10 mins. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
  4. For the chocolate glaze, sift powdered sugar and cocoa powder into medium bowl. Add enough of the hot water (about 2 tbsp) to make glaze spreadable.
  5. Spread dessert with glaze; let stand at room temperature until set. Cut into squares.
