Cheese And Olive Buns

  1. Preheat oven to 400u0b0F. Lightly grease a 7x11 inch baking tray.
  2. Sift flour into a large bowl. Cut in butter until mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add milk and mix quickly into a soft, sticky dough. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead lightly. Form into a rectangle about 1/3 inch thick.
  3. Spread tomato puree over dough and sprinkle with 4 oz cheese, olives and parsley, pressing down slightly. Roll up to form a log. Cut into 3/4 inch thick slices and arrange close together, cut side up, on prepared tray. Brush with reserved milk and sprinkle with remaining cheese. Bake for 25-30 mins, until golden. Let cool on a wire rack.
