Old Settlers Beans
- 1/2 lb. bacon
- 1/2 lb. hamburger
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 c. barbecue sauce
- 1/4 c. catsup
- 1/3 c. white sugar
- 1/3 c. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 tsp. mustard (yellow)
- 2 Tbsp. molasses
- 1 can pinto beans
- 1 can pork and beans
- 1 can butter beans
- 1 can kidney beans
- Fry bacon until crisp; drain and crumble.
- In skillet, brown hamburger and cook onion until tender.
- Drain fat.
- In a large bowl, mix the barbecue sauce, catsup, sugars, chili powder, salt, pepper, mustard and molasses.
- Mix well and add the bacon and cooked hamburger-onion mix.
- Mix together the pinto beans, pork and beans, butter beans and the kidney beans.
- Mix beans and meat sauce together and pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake for 1 hour at 350u0b0.
