Veal Chops With Pear Relish And Spinach

  1. To make the pear relish, bring pears, onion, butter and vinegar to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 mins, or until pulpy. Add sugar, cloves and allspice. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves then bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, for 20 mins, or until thickened slightly.
  2. Oil a grill pan or large frying pan and place over high heat. Cook veal chops until browned on both sides and cooked to your liking.
  3. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Cook spinach, tossing, until just wilted.
  4. Serve veal chops with spinach and pear relish.
