Seven-Layer Salad

  1. Place lettuce in shallow serving pan.
  2. Cover with green onions, celery and water chestnuts.
  3. Break peas apart over salad. Spread mayonnaise evenly over top.
  4. Sprinkle with sugar, cheese, seasoned salt and garlic powder.
  5. Cover and chill as long as 24 hours.
  6. Just before serving, sprinkle salad with grated hard-boiled egg and sprinkle with bacon bits.
  7. (Serves 15 or 20 people.)
