World'S Best Cookies
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 c. light brown sugar
- 1 c. salad oil
- 1 c. crushed cornflakes
- 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 c. regular oatmeal
- 1/2 c. flaked coconut
- 3 1/2 c. plain flour
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- Cream the margarine and sugar.
- Add egg and mix well.
- Add salad oil and continue to beat.
- Add oatmeal, cornflakes and coconut, mixing well.
- Add flour, salt, baking soda and vanilla and stir in the pecans.
- Form mixture into balls the size of small walnuts and place on greased cookie sheet (12 to 15 on each cookie sheet).
- Flatten with fork dipped in water.
- Bake at 325u0b0 for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly browned.
- Allow to cool for a few minutes before removing from cookie sheet.
- May sprinkle with sugar while warm, if desired.
