Strawberry Tarts
- 9 oz strawberries, washed, hulled and sliced
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar, plus additional, to sprinkle
- 1 tsp grated orange peel
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed
- 1 None egg white, lightly beaten
- None None Granulated sugar, to sprinkle
- None None Whipped cream or ice cream, to serve
- Preheat the oven to 400u0b0F. Line a baking pan with parchment paper.
- Place strawberries in a bowl. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, orange peel and cinnamon; mix well.
- Cut pastry sheet into 4 rounds with a 4 1/2 inch-round cookie cutter. Arrange on prepared pan.
- Pile strawberry mixture into the center. Pleat pastry around edges. Brush pastry with egg white; sprinkle with granulated sugar.
- Bake 12-15 mins, until puffed and golden. Dust with powdered sugar. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream.
